A Message From The Polemarch

It is my pleasure as Polemarch of the Sacramento Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. to welcome you to our official website. Since our chartering the Sacramento Alumni Chapter has been a pillar of community service and achievement within the Sacramento region. The vision exemplified by our fraternal founders nearly 100 years ago and then our charter members has been actualized into an organization truly dedicated to achievement and service.

The Sacramento Alumni Chapter focuses on our community by participating in programs and events that fit the needs of our region. The Chapter also continues to encourage men of high ideals and values to explore membership in Kappa. Achievement for the Sacramento Alumni Chapter will always be at the forefront of our mission and values as we strive to improve our communities each and every day.

We are grateful for your interest and solicit your support and involvement in our efforts. The Sacramento Alumni Chapter welcomes your participation as we work to make a real difference in our community.

Sincerely,

Dr. BJ Snowden

Keeping our Commitment in 2007/2008

October marks the beginning of Kappa Alpha Psi's fraternal year.

Sac Alumni has planned some exciting things for the 2007/2008 year, including:
  • establishment of a college scholarship
  • raise funds to benefit the Sacramento Food Bank
  • conduct a Christmas toy drive
  • celebrate Founders' Day & Sac Alumni's charter day
  • host monthly lunches and socials for brothers
  • support undergraduate events, including
    Iota Beta's 30th anniversary celebration
Additionally, Sac Alumni will continue to support local events and organizations, such as the 100 Black Men's Northern California African-American Young Males Conference.
To accomplish these things, Kappa needs the participation of all. In the words of our 31st Grand Polemarch, Dwayne M. Murray, "we will know the measure of our achievements when our work meets the intersection of our promises."
The chapter has adopted a calendar and a fiscally responsible budget to get 2007/2008 off to a good start. Brothers' contributions of time, effort and finance will help to ensure that Kappa is what we say it is. Join us in helping to keep Kappa's Commitment!
