A Message From The Polemarch

It is my pleasure as Polemarch of the Sacramento Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. to welcome you to our official website. Since our chartering the Sacramento Alumni Chapter has been a pillar of community service and achievement within the Sacramento region. The vision exemplified by our fraternal founders nearly 100 years ago and then our charter members has been actualized into an organization truly dedicated to achievement and service.

The Sacramento Alumni Chapter focuses on our community by participating in programs and events that fit the needs of our region. The Chapter also continues to encourage men of high ideals and values to explore membership in Kappa. Achievement for the Sacramento Alumni Chapter will always be at the forefront of our mission and values as we strive to improve our communities each and every day.

We are grateful for your interest and solicit your support and involvement in our efforts. The Sacramento Alumni Chapter welcomes your participation as we work to make a real difference in our community.

Kappa Night with the River Cats

Looking for an opportunity to kick back and relax? How about an opportunity to spend some time with the kids? Maybe you want an opportunity to expose a young person to a college-based organization?

Kappa Alpha Psi has created the perfect way to do all of this and more!

On the evening of Sunday, July 1st, Sacramento Alumni invites brothers, NPHC members, and the community to

2nd Downtown Kappa Lunch

Following the success of the first downtown Kappa lunch, the brothers got together again to break bread...or tortillias.

Vallejo's Taqueria and Cantina was chosen for its award-winning, authentic Mexican food.

In attendance and pictured were (from back to front)--left side: Walter Johnson (Iota Beta 1985), Reggie Sears (Beta Omega 1969), Ed Sanders (Iota Beta 1993), Vann Smith (Iota Beta 1979), Judge Gary Ransom (Sacramento 1976). Right side: Chris Holley (Iota Sigma 1991), Larry Brooks (Sacramento 2001), Reggie Banks (Epsilon Tau 1968), and James Reede (San Jose 1985).

Nupes "Represent" at NPHC Picnic

Officially, summer doesn't begin until June 21st, but that didn't stop the Nupes from breaking out their barbecues and dominoes for the Sacramento NPHC picnic.

On June 2nd, 2007, more than 20 area brothers joined the other fraternity and sorority members of "the Divine 9" at Elk Grove Regional Park for a day of food, family and fun.

The day wasn't just for adults; games were set up for the kids. And...speaking of kids...ask Brother Greer about the neophyte who sent him packing at the dominoes table!

But, in all seriousness, everyone had a good time. Special thanks to Sandi Patterson of Delta Sigma Theta for organizing the event!
